My Story

My personal experience with herpes started after a long-term relationship ended. I was with someone who disclosed their herpes status, and I chose to be in the relationship because I didn't view herpes as a barrier to love. However, it wasn't until after we broke up and I began rebuilding my life that I realized I had been exposed. Despite not showing any symptoms throughout our time together, the issue of herpes had never crossed my mind or seemed significant—until it did.

I kept my condition secret for years, burdened by shame and embarrassment. Despite having loved someone with herpes, I was scared no one would accept me in return due to the stigma. When I eventually confided in a few close friends, I wasn’t fully honest about how I got it, fearful of judgment and blame.

The emotional rollercoaster herpes caused took a huge toll on me. I felt sad, alone, and my self esteem was shattered. I was sick and tired of feeling this way and knew that to find happiness and feel confident again, I had to discover why I viewed myself negatively and why I let society's views affect my self-worth.

This ignited a journey of self-discovery, beginning with a deep dive into understanding my condition. It was through this journey that I healed the wounds of my past, allowing me to shed the limiting beliefs and societal labels about herpes that had held me back, ultimately leading me to a place where I finally felt free.

From that moment, I knew my mission was to help others navigate life with herpes, supporting their healing journey and empowering them to live free from shame. I firmly believe that no one should feel embarrassed about having herpes and my purpose is to encourage people to live boldly and bravely, without feeling afraid of disclosing their condition. My hope is that you will join me in this mission, becoming an active part of our community and speaking out about your experiences. Together, we can challenge and change people’s view of herpes, creating a more accepting and understanding world for everyone.
